A plain board needs its finish specified
A plain board has no decorative prelaminated face. If you want GSM to process it, discuss the laminate, adhesive, pressing and finished panel details with the team. Board suitability must be checked for the selected material and application.
A prelaminated board already has a decorative face
Choose the required design, colour, texture and face configuration along with the exact board grade. Cutting and edge finishing can still be discussed. Do not assume that a decorative face changes the underlying board’s moisture grade.
Match the board to the application
The catalogue separates plain and prelaminated MDF, HDF and particle boards, and lists HDHMR separately. For example, the listed MR MDF is not recommended for wet areas. Use the selected product’s applications and limitations instead of applying one claim to every engineered board.
